As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement's biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Constitution.

Jimmy Carter's Christian problem
Liberal Protestantism, both in North America and Europe, is experiencing a steep numerical decline. It has lost considerable ground to secular consumerism on the Left and the startling growth of more conservative churches on the Right. This is a galling proposition for a committed liberal Christian such as the former president, who took office in 1977 as America's first openly born-again chief executive. ...

Jimmy Carter the Apostate
Why Is Jimmy Carter So Prejudiced Against Israel?
Clearly, Carter doesn't accept biblical authority. Hank Hanegraaff Exposed
Tim LaHaye and Hank Hanegraaff:
The Men Behind the Headlines
What has happened to accountability in the Church of Jesus Christ? Who is upholding the standards of integrity in our leaders—standards the Bible requires? What has happened to us that we can sit back and silently watch while one “Christian leader” attacks another with impunity? These actions are not biblical, and our reaction (or lack of it) is not biblical, either. God requires accountability whether Christians find it distasteful or not, and if we remain silent in the presence of evil, we become guilty of it ourselves (James 4:17).
